Siemens Health Foods opened for business in April of 1957 and moved to its 2nd location, 1004 E. Charleston Blvd. in 1962. We have now reopened the Eastside location at 1124 S. Maryland Pkwy., and our Westside store is located at 1750 S. Rainbow Blvd. #9. Siemens Health Foods enjoys the unique position of being the first and oldest health food store in Las Vegas, Nevada. Supermarkets were in their infant stage. Residents shopped at a few very small grocery or specialty stores and only one store stayed open for 24 hours. Siemens became an immediate success with the famous and locals alike. Many original patrons of Siemens enjoyed the fresh juice bar and bulk herbs along with a growing host of new customers.

The visionary founder, John Siemens, saw a need and opportunity in Las Vegas for a health food store. His agricultural background as a potato farmer near Bakersfield, California may have led to his passion for knowledge of natural health practices. He wanted to share his knowledge and Siemens Health Foods gave him the opportunity. He continued to educate himself and assist his customers with his expertise and wisdom, until his retirement at the age of 89.

The dream lives on. Susinn Annsley, the present owner, grew up with Siemens Health Foods. Her grandmother was Siemens store manager and her mother worked in the store for many years. Susinn’s son, Brian Thorne, serves Siemens as Administrative Assistant, handling advertising and the IT department.

Susinn Annsley is our Nutritional Consultant that is availible by appointment. Rosy Varela is our knowledgeable bi-lingual Spanish assistant manager. Irma Islas is our knowledgeable, bilingual, customer service representative that is always ready to help you.

Changes have come to Las Vegas and Siemens since 1957. Siemens continues to succeed with the same quality customer service, cutting edge products, its bilingual staff (se habla español) and expanded services. These services include a certified nutritional consultant, wholistic counselor, ION Cleanse foot baths, and other energy healing services by appointment.

50 years of service made better!

For 50 years Siemens Health Foods has provided the highest quality services and products to the Las Vegas Valley; and to clients around the country as well. As we proudly go forward from here, we take a look at the changes that have occurred in the need for our services and the products that we offer.

We have decided to move our store to a better and more efficient location. We will still have the products that you want, and the best that the industry has to offer. We will special order anything available to us that you would desire. In addition to the products in the store, we will offer more services for balancing the systems and detoxifying the body, including ION Cleanse foot baths.

In the near future, we are planning an outreach and delivery service to senior citizens, and others who may not be able to come into the store as often. We may also be able to bring some of the balancing therapies to you as well. We will keep you informed of these new services. Siemens already offers shipping from the store by phone calls, and we will be upgrading our web site as we go along. We are planning to offer FREE shipping on supplements, with a minimum order in the near future.
